The Posh Palais is an event and catering company based in Malvern. Over summer we are opearting a number of events that we are seek team members to support.

Role based in Yarra Valley

Over the summer we have partnered with CherryHill Orchards in Wandin East to host dining expereinces in their orchard. These small group bookings are hosted on Friday - Sunday, with the opportunity to host up to 10 groups each day.

We are seeking 2-3 team members to be manage our CherryHill events over a 8-10 week period, starting November 18. With the opportunity to work some additional days at events based in Malvern and Melbourne CBD.

Role based in Malvern

In the lead up to Christmas we will be hosting private events and Christmas workshop in our venue on Glenferrie Road. These bookings are hosted on both weekdays and weekends. With shifts ranging from 4-10 hours.

We are seeking 1 or 2 team members to be manage support and host these events over the 5 week perious, with the opportunity for future work in the new year.

Your role will be to:

- Setting up spaces as specified by the event order.
- Following event run sheets.
- Ensure events run smoothly, ensuring all guest's expectations are accommodated
- Demonstrate a high level of service from greeting to wishing the guests a warm farewell when they leave.
- Keeping a high level of attention to detail with an excellent ability to multi-task and prioritise
- Troubleshooting issues to ensure the smooth running of events for both clients and the internal team.
- Excellent communications skills, written and verbal
- Ability to engage with our guests through conversation, making them feel welcome and valued
- Ability to work flexibly and in different locations when required
- Assist in the preparation of events, including but not limited to, packing, ordering and cleaning
- Ensure strict time constraints are met
- Taking pride in the workplace and ensuring our venue and equipment is well maintained throughout our events
- Liaising with the Director to ensure you have a thorough understanding of the event requirements to deliver an exceptional function

Key Skills:

- Experience in events, hotels, bars, restaurants or cafes
- High level of attention to detail and initiative
- Exceptional personal presentation and grooming
- Engaging and friendly personality
- Be proactive and able to work unsupervised
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work highly flexible hours, including mornings, night and weekend work
- Working with children check is advantageous
