**Temporary full time Payroll Officer | CBD office**

Charterhouse has an exciting opportunity available for a **Payroll Officer** on a temporary basis to join our Sydney team with the opportunity to become permanent.

In this fast-paced role you will support the Payroll Supervisor with the timely and accurate payment of all staff members in accordance with the relevant employment contracts, enterprise agreements and guidelines.
- Temporary Position (with opportunity for permanence)
- Reporting to the Payroll Supervisor
- Working on the FastTrack payroll system
- Processing a weekly payroll for 150-200 temps/contractors (across our Partnership Business and Medical)
- Assisting with end-to-end weekly payroll processing for over 500-600 employees across Australia as required
- Ensuring pay records accurately reflect entitlements and conditions.
- Collecting timesheets from all divisions and recording other allowances such as expenses reimbursements and mileage claims in the payroll system, ensuring timeliness and accuracy of data processing
- Ensuring correct cost/charge rate allocation.
- Producing payroll checks and balance reports.
- Assisting with payroll variance checks, investigating differences, and correcting if required
- Completing end-of-weekly reporting.
- Maintaining and updating all employee records accurately in the payroll system
- Staying informed about changes to payroll and taxation legislation and implementing necessary updates.
- Handling all employee payroll queries effectively and in a timely manner.

**About You**:

- A minimum of **2**+ year** experience in end-to-end payroll processing of 150+ size payroll in a comparable industry.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret employment contracts.
- Understanding of the National Employment Standards (NES) will be advantageous but not a must.
- Good working knowledge of Excel and strong computer literacy skills including experience with Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
