Stand-Alone Payroll Officer - $95/100K + S - WFH 2 days Sydney/Newcastle or Brisbane

Responsibilities

- Take sole ownership of end-to-end payroll processes for circa 300 employees.
- Manage the payroll department, with five+ years of experience in payroll.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and other teams; audit and manage payroll and timekeeping systems.
- Maintain accuracy and confidentiality with a focus on process improvement.

About You / Job Requirements

- 5+ years’ experience managing end-to-end payroll and confident in running payroll for 300+ employees.
- Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables.
- Solid understanding of multi-state payroll requirements, awards, legislation, and taxation.
- Confidence in auditing and managing payroll and timekeeping systems.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to confidentiality.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Clear, professional communication and the ability to partner with HR, Finance, and other teams.
- Proactive mindset with a passion for process improvement.
