**Full-Time Mechanical Fitter Position at St Marys**

We are currently seeking multiple experienced Mechanical Fitters for full-time positions at a leading railway company located in Greater Western Sydney. As a crucial member of our team, you will be responsible for assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining mechanical systems in railway tamper machines, with a focus on hydraulics and pneumatics.

**Role and Responsibilities**:

- Assemble, install, test, and maintain mechanical systems in railway tamper machines
- Work on hydraulics and pneumatics systems
- Interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues
- Strip and overhaul various equipment from Railway Machines, including hydraulics
- Strip and refurbish light rail wheels, replace tires, and overhaul gearboxes
- Rebuild major components of Railway Equipment
- Perform general repair and maintenance of large machinery used in Railway
- Problem-solving and fault finding during routine inspection of smaller components
- Functionally test all work carried out to ensure serviceability
- Interpret drawings, diagrams, specifications, and plans

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Relevant trade qualifications
- Strong skills in hydraulics and pneumatics (highly regarded)
- Experience in working with mechanical systems
- Keen attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and achieve great results
