You’ll be joining a collaborative and inclusive risk and insurance team where you will deliver risk management support to all Jacobs businesses and its leaders whilst collaborating with colleagues in Legal, Sales, Operations, Safety and Finance across Asia, Australia, and New Zealand.

More particularly, you will:

- Pursue and negotiate coverage under project-specific insurance placements - we would welcome applicants with a claims background, whether as an adjustor or claims handler.
- Advise on policy provisions and coverage for significant claims on local and global policies and report on progress and outcomes to colleagues in Legal, Finance and Operations.
- Review client contracts to ensure compliance with insurance-related requirements including, insurance requirements, indemnification, liability, waivers, and advise or negotiate improvements in terms.
- Support the development and success of our joint ventures and other teaming agreements to establish and agree appropriate insurance requirements among teaming members, utilizing project-specific insurance placements, where available.
- Play a key role in the annual renewal and administration of Jacobs insurance programs, both within the region and Jacobs global programs.
- Engage with internal colleagues to obtain required underwriting data for placement of both corporate and project-specific insurance policies.
- Support pursuit teams’ evaluation and use of project-specific insurance needs.
- Manage communications with insurers, brokers, outside counsel, and other service providers.
- Seek out improvement opportunities to enhance our risk management program effectiveness including process improvement initiatives, technology, and automation.
- Develop and deliver tailored training sessions to develop the knowledge and understanding of risk and insurance.
- Effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously, adjusting as priorities shift.
- Assist with annual budgeting and internal forecasting processes.

**Here’s What You’ll Need**:

- Bachelor’s degree in risk/insurance, business, law or related field, together with a recognized insurance qualification in underwriting or claims. - Minimum 10 years of industry experience in an insurance/risk management role gained with a broker, insurer, or claims adjustor.
- Exceptional knowledge of casualty and property coverage lines and policy mechanics.
- Strong understanding of indemnity provisions, contractual risk transfer, and general principles of tort and damages.
- Familiarity with global insurance program structures.
- Motivated to be part of a successful team, but also able to work independently.
- Strong desire to seek out learning opportunities.
- Clear ability to take initiative to define, analyze and effectively solve problems, seeking guidance as necessary, rather than waiting to be directed.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Ideally, you’ll also have:

- Engineering, construction, and technology industry knowledge.
- Knowledge of governmental entities and procurement processes.
- Other evidence of continuing professional education.
