**About the Role**

As a Support Coordination Assistant, you are positively impacting people's lives every day. You be supported by a team of passionate people and have access to training and development opportunities that will help you grow your career in ways you never imagined.

Focal is looking for someone who is ready to expand their horizons. We are looking for someone who wants to provide individualised support to participants with disabilities and/or mental illnesses who are enrolled in the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

You will be provided with structured training during your initial 12-month term contract.

**Essential Requirements**:
Our ideal Support Coordination Assistant will have well developed interpersonal and communication skills, as the role will see you work closely participants and their families. You will also demonstrate sound organisational skills and have a high level of attention-to-detail. Ideally you will have:

- Qualifications and / or significant experience working with the community and people with disabilities from diverse cultures and backgrounds
- Previous support co-ordination experience working with people with a disability or mental health diagnosis and stakeholders
- Demonstrated experience meeting relevant legislation including upholding privacy and confidentiality
- Demonstrated time management and organisational skills
- Strong networking and influencing skills a plus
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance Card or willingness to obtain one
- Current Blue Card or willingness to obtain one
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19
- Current National Police Certificate (issued within the last 90 days)
- Current driver’s license and access to a reliable, registered, comprehensively insured vehicle
