We’re looking for a professional Project Supervisor to join our team and lead some of the projects we have coming up
A fantastic opportunity exists for a focused and energetic self-starter to join our team as Project Supervisor. Reporting to the General Manager, you will be accountable for project planning, work scheduling and on site supervision of contractors for the delivery of works on time with quality outcomes in a cost effective and safe manner.
**You will be working with**:
J&D Contracting are one of the most highly respected construction companies based in Brisbane. We provide a complete range of services for our clients, from building and maintenance services to repairs for residential dwellings, units, townhouses, and commercial buildings throughout the greater Brisbane region.
Your role will include:
- Co-ordinating and overseeing successful project delivery on a daily basis
- Managing workplace health and safety and quality on site
- Managing multiple stakeholders, ensuring projects are completed on time and in budget.
- Managing multiple jobs including labour and material.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with trades, contractors and clients
- Resolve any project issues that may arise - keeping both safety and business in mind throughout
- Understanding and adhering to financial constraints of a project
- Jobs include bathroom upgrades, home modifications, residential housing upgrades including refurbishments of existing dwellings.
- Residential housing, schools and aged care facilities.
**What are we looking for?**
- Experience in a similar role, or the right qualifications to get you there
- High level of attention to detail and pride in your work
- Ability to coordinate and manage employees in an approachable manner, while ensuring their compliance and high standard of work
- Experience in developing construction programs
- Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated, resilient and enjoys working in a tight knit team
- Certificate IV Building & Construction (preferred)
- A minimum Trade Qualification in Carpentry or similar (essential)
- A Construction Induction White Card or relevant State card
- Demonstrated experience as a team player who can work unsupervised
