The Opportunity
As part of our continued growth, we're seeking experienced Service Electricians at Grades 5, 6, and 7 to join our expanding team. These are hands-on field service roles offering variety, autonomy, and the chance to work across a range of industrial environments including utilities, manufacturing, quarry, and food-grade sites.
Positions Available
Grade 7 – Advanced Service Electrician
Join our field services team in a senior capacity, providing advanced electrical, instrumentation, and automation support. You'll lead by example, apply strong technical capability, and contribute to project delivery across multiple client sites.
Grade 6 – Service Electrician
You'll perform electrical works, maintenance, and breakdown support across diverse sites while gaining further exposure to control systems and automation technologies. This role offers progression, hands-on experience, and mentorship within a professional team.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform electrical works, installations, maintenance, and repairs across multiple industries
- Diagnose, fault-find, and repair electrical components and control circuits
- Assist with wiring of control panels, PLCs, MCCs, and distribution boards
- Read and interpret schematics, drawings, and technical documentation
- Install cable trays, switchgear, large cables, and motor control systems
- Conduct testing, verification, and commissioning in accordance with Australian Standards
- Support supervisors with scoping, coordinating, and delivering minor projects and service works
- Participate in an on-call roster (typically one week in every 3–7)
Qualifications & Requirements
- QLD Electrical Work Licence (Certificate III in Electrotechnology – Electrician)
- Certificate IV in one or more of the following:
– Instrumentation and Control
– Hazardous Areas
– Electronics
– High Voltage (HV) Competencies - Current CPR & LVR, Working at Heights, and EWP (Scissor & Boom) certifications
- Electrical Verification and Confined Space Entry certification
- Manual Queensland Driver's Licence
- Construction Industry White/Blue Card
- Compliance with client vaccination requirements
Desirable (Not Essential)
- Hazardous Area training or experience
- Open Cabling Licence
- HV Switching or HVIA qualification
- S11 (Mining Induction)
- DAMP site fit-testing compliance
