Production Supervisor

Recently, we’ve made a **substantial investment in the latest digital print technology**, giving us new capacity to grow — and this role has been created to support that growth.

**About the Role**
This is a diverse role that combines **production leadership** with **sales and client support.** The Production Supervisor will work alongside the General Manager to oversee day-to-day operations, while also helping to drive revenue growth and support clients.

Responsibilities include:

- **Production & Operations**:

- Oversee workflow from prepress through to finishing and dispatch, ensuring quality and deadlines are consistently met.
- Supervise and support a small team of printers, finishers, and trainees, providing guidance and training as needed.
- Be a reliable backup to the General Manager, stepping into leadership responsibilities when required.
- Act as an all-rounder across the business — from guillotining and finishing to deliveries — whenever extra support is needed.
- Identify opportunities for improved efficiency, reduced wastage, and smoother job flow.
- **Sales & Client Service**:

- Drive **new business sales and revenue growth** through external sales calls and relationship building.
- Manage and grow a portfolio of **internal accounts**, ensuring high levels of service and repeat business.
- Deliver jobs locally and build rapport with clients, reinforcing Designline’s strong reputation for service.
- Provide internal sales support — assisting with quotes, order follow-up, and ensuring client jobs are handled smoothly from start to finish.
- **Business Support**:

- Assist management with projects, reporting, and client communications.
- Act as a bridge between operations and client service, ensuring production capacity and customer expectations are aligned.
- Contribute ideas for growth and play an active role in helping Designline expand its reach.

**Who We’re Looking For**
- Proven ability to supervise and coordinate staff.
- Confidence in building client relationships and generating new business.
- A proactive, flexible team player who is happy to jump into any part of the business when required.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Full driver’s licence.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $111,000.00 per year
