Our client is seeking to engage a Finance and Administration Officer.
**Position Overview**
You will be assisting the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with various aspects of financial management including:
- Management of accurate financial records using Xero, including accounts payable and receivable, monthly and annual financial reconciliation
- Providing payroll support including reviewing timesheets, maintaining HR records and processing a fortnightly payroll for a team of 30 people
- Assisting with the preparation of financial reporting, including project based financial reporting, as well as monthly and annual company reporting to the Executive
- Delivering accurate, timely and responsive administrative support with respect to financial management of the business
- Undertake general administrative tasks at the direction of the Corporate Coordinator
- Other duties as may be required by the CFO and Corporate Coordinator
- Assistance with statutory reporting including preparation of Business Activity Statements, Instalment Activity Statements and payroll tax reporting
**What you will bring**:
- Relevant accounting, finance or related qualification/experience
- Experience working in a small business environment
- A willingness to work in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment
- A working knowledge of accounting concepts, principles, practices and procedures, and of computer-based accounting systems particularly Xero
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite
- Experience performing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting activities
- Ability to track and manage tasks that occur regularly and manage your time effectively
- Excellent communication, both verbal and written skills
- Exceptional Excel skills
- Sharp attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to process data effectively
