**ABOUT THE DIVISION, BRANCHES AND TEAMS**
A role in Financial Analysis, Reporting and Management (FARM) presents an exciting opportunity to be part of a division at the forefront of shaping financial management and accounting policy advice to the Australian Government, preparing whole of government Budget estimates and the management of the Commonwealth’s Official Public Account (the Commonwealth’s central bank account). This is a unique opportunity to develop a set of skills which are highly valued and sought after in the government as well as in the private sector.

- Accounting and Frameworks Branch - Accounting Framework and Capability Support Team

**Accounting and Frameworks Branch - Accounting Framework and Capability Support Team**
We are looking for a motivated individual to work at the APS 5 or APS 6 level who is eager to strengthen their professional skills and influence the Australian Government’s decision-making through the provision of high quality financial management, analysis and advice.
The key duties of the position include:
- developing and updating guidance material and training for Australian Government entities on financial reporting and budget frameworks
- analysing and interpreting trends and movements in financial data
- assisting to provide stewardship of the accounting and finance profession across the Commonwealth public service
- providing timely and accurate reporting advice to stakeholders
- assisting with coordination of a range of administrative tasks, as required
A baseline security clearance is required for this role.
**Estimates and Reporting Branch - GFS and Budget Estimates Team**
We are looking for a motivated individual to work at the APS 5 or APS 6 level who is eager to develop understanding about the consolidation process and how data in the Commonwealth Budget Management System (CBMS) flows into the Budget documentation. The role provides a unique opportunity to be part of the whole-of-government multi-billion Budget consolidation process. You will collaborate with specialists in Australian Accounting Standards (AAS), Government Finance Statistics (GFS) as well as policy experts in Budget Group in Finance.
The key duties of the position include:
- assisting in the quality assurance of estimates data for Budget, Mid-Year Economic and Fiscal Outlook (MYEFO), the Pre-election Economic Fiscal Outlook (PEFO) and the Final Budget Outcome (FBO) for the production of whole-of-government financial statements and other tables included in the Budget publications
- managing the clearance process for the financial statements section of Budget documentation
- assisting in timely, relevant and accurate policy and financial advice on the financial impacts and reporting classification of government policies based on relevant reporting frameworks
- assisting in managing changes or enhancements of CBMS
- assisting in managing relationships with internal and external key stakeholders including the Australian Bureau of Statistics, the Department of the Treasury and Budget Group in Finance
A negative vetting 1 security clearance is required for this role.
