In the role of Manager (Property Management) you will play a lead role in the management of the TMR portfolio of properties held for future transport infrastructure projects and commercial activities in the road and transport corridor (approximately 1700 leases and licences returning $35 million annually). You will also be responsible for the development of comprehensive strategies, negotiating leases, licences, agreements and tenancy disputes, ensuring compliance to legislative requirements and influencing collaborative outcomes with stakeholders to ensure a return on investment to the department.

The role will include but not limited to;
- Manage the TMR state-wide portfolio of properties which includes a range of commercial harbour leases, advertising and telecommunication licence agreements.
- Negotiating with other managers in Strategic Property Management, TMR, TransLink and Maritime Safety Queensland to ensure customer needs are met.
- Provide timely and appropriate financial and management reporting for the purpose of decision-making and ensure compliance with statutory and departmental requirements.
- Proactively manage and supervise your staff in all aspects of people performance, including recruitment and selection, appraisal and development, fostering and promoting a service delivery culture and role modelling ethical behaviour and decision making.
- Actively manage complex negotiations and provide authoritative advice on complex property matters (relating to property transactions, leasing agreements and tenant negotiations) to internal and external clients and coordinate legal advice regarding detailed property matters.
- Prepare high level correspondence and documentation on a broad range of property management issues, including drafting Ministerial responses, drafting lease agreements and licenses.
