An exciting opportunity has arisen for a self-sufficient and motivated Lead Mechanical Designer in our Perth office. You will work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplined engineering team to develop designs on various projects within the resource sector.

**About the role**
- Mechanical and structural design, including concept development
- Design checking
- Maintaining a safety focus through all aspects of work
- Support and collaborate with highly skilled engineers to develop designs for a wide range of plant elements
- Prepare design drawings, with sufficient detail for fabrication, where required
- Coordinate and review shop detailing
- Ensure EMtek provides a quality service and clients are satisfied with EMtek's performance
- Promote and continually improve EMtek's commitment to Health, Safety and the Environment

**Skills and experience**

To be considered for this role you should have:

- 6+ years of multidiscipline design experience
- Brownfields experience
- Site experience desirable
- The right to work in Australia
- Reside in the Perth Metropolitan area
- Detailed knowledge of materials handling industry is essential, including conveyor and chute design;
- Extensive experience with Bentley Microstation
- Experience using point cloud data and 3D scanning experience is advantageous
- Excellent organisational, communication, teamwork and time management skills;
- Technical aptitude, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to think outside the box
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team
- Ability to work to tight deadlines

**Salary**: $94,941.25 - $172,698.10 per year
