The Australian College of Business and Training Pty Ltd (RTO 40493), a leading Registered Training Organisation in NSW, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Compliance Officer to join our dynamic team. This vital role is key to ensuring that our institution adheres to all regulatory requirements and upholds the highest standards of quality in vocational education and training (VET). As a Compliance Officer, you will be at the forefront of safeguarding our compliance with regulatory bodies, ensuring our operations align with both legislative and accreditation requirements, and supporting the institution's ongoing commitment to educational excellence.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management**:

- Monitor and maintain the organisation’s compliance with ASQA standards, the National VET Regulator’s guidelines, and other relevant industry regulations.
- Ensure all internal processes, procedures, and documentation are compliant with applicable legislation and best practices.
- Assist in preparing for audits, inspections, and assessments conducted by regulatory bodies.
- Identify potential compliance risks and implement proactive strategies to mitigate these risks.

**Documentation and Reporting**:

- Develop, review, and maintain compliance-related documentation, including policies, procedures, and records, ensuring they meet all regulatory standards.
- Prepare detailed compliance reports and audit documentation for internal review and submission to relevant authorities.
- Coordinate the timely submission of compliance reports and other required documentation to regulatory bodies.

**Internal Auditing and Continuous Improvement**:

- Conduct regular internal audits to assess adherence to compliance requirements and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide recommendations for improvements based on audit results and analysis of internal compliance processes.
- Work closely with management and staff to ensure continuous improvement in compliance-related activities.

**Training and Support**:

- Provide training and guidance to staff on compliance matters, fostering a culture of regulatory awareness across the organisation.
- Support staff in understanding their compliance responsibilities and help develop solutions to overcome compliance challenges.
- Stay informed of changes in VET regulatory requirements and proactively share updates with the team.

**Strategic Collaboration and Communication**:

- Collaborate with academic and administrative teams to ensure that compliance procedures are integrated effectively into daily operations.
- Serve as the key point of contact for compliance-related inquiries and assist with the resolution of compliance issues in a timely manner.

**Desired Qualifications**:

- A minimum of two years of proven experience in compliance, risk management, or regulatory roles, ideally within the VET sector.
- In-depth knowledge of the VET regulatory framework, including the Standards for RTOs, the National Code, and other relevant regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with a range of stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with compliance management software or systems is desirable.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
