What will your new day look like?
Reporting to the Senior Manager Governance, this part time role is primarily responsible for the delivery of high quality compliance regulatory reporting for the organisation, within the Growth, Governance and Legal Division. The role focuses on promoting a compliance culture, ensuring Evolve Housing meets its regular compliance obligations and reporting requirements. The role will also support governance-related tasks, such as policy and procedure management, as required.
You will be responsible for analysing and gathering information and data, to accurately compile and collate internal and external reports for our national community housing regulators and other governing bodies.
Essential to this role, is your ability to effectively liaise with internal and external stakeholders to drive a compliance culture focused on the delivery of exceptional performance.
Key accountabilities include:
Compliance Reporting
- Ensure the organisation complies with all business policy, legislative, regulatory and accreditation requirements, including National Regulatory System for Community Housing registration (NRSCH) and the Victorian Housing Registrar.
- Assist in ensuring the accurate and timely completion of all compliance obligations including, but not limited to, the annual NRSCH and Victorian Housing Registrar compliance assessments, NDIS compliance recertification, ASES Accreditation and quarterly and annual regulatory reporting to other regulatory bodies. This will involve data collection and analysis.
- Register new entities within the Evolve Housing Group as community housing providers as required.
- Prepare reports for the business on the organisation's compliance initiatives, following data analysis
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of the requirements of community housing and not for profit sector and other regulatory obligations and accreditation(s).
- Effectively monitor performance against agreements, contracts and expectations and compliance with internal, legal and regulatory requirement.
- Communicate confidently and effectively with the organisation's internal and external stakeholders.
Governance
- As required, assist with governance activities such as the management of a best practice policy framework, including the review, revision and development of policies and procedures
- Provide support to the Growth, Governance and Legal (GGAL) team as needed.

Some important things you will need to begin this journey
- Tertiary qualifications in compliance, governance, business or finance, with at least 4 years relevant experience or extensive experience in a governance and compliance role, with a focus on reporting and data analysis
- Internal and external stakeholder management experience; particularly dealing with regulators, whilst representing the company's interests
- An understanding of the community housing sector regulatory requirements (desirable) or similar transferable skills
- Advanced MS Excel and MS Word capabilities
- Capability, extensive experience or exposure to
- SharePoint
- MS Fabric (desirable)
- Regulator portals (desirable)
- Demonstrated high level of analytical, evaluative and problem analysis.
- The ability to plan and establish priorities for own workload with effective time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise high-level judgement and discretion and a high degree of personal initiative.
- High attention to detail
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively listen, interpret and convey information
- Demonstrated ability to be flexible, to work proactively and cooperatively in a small team and to build productive working relationships.
