New Verticles is a startup within Uber, a team focussed on growth, but with the support and leverage of Uber’s large global ridesharing and delivery businesses. **About the role**:
Uber Eats New Verticals is looking for an outstanding leader to head up our Enterprise, Independent Retail Sales and Success team. As Head of Independent Retail, ANZ New Verticals you’ll lead our efforts with regional and national enterprise independent retail groups, ensuring that our selection is outstanding among our priority verticals: grocery and liquor, and that we deliver best-in-market customer experience to these critical partners.

Reporting to the Head of Commercial ANZ, New Verticals, you will inspire a talented team of Account Executives, Account Managers and external partners to deliver outstanding results. As a senior leader in the New Verticals team, you will contribute to the future strategy of this fast growing business, identifying what's next and working collaboratively across the business to make it happen.

**Your impact in role**:

- Plan and build: the strategy for the Independent Retail segment, including the operating model to acquire, grow, optimise and manage for future scale
- Segment ownership: own the overall targets for a large territory of Independent Retail Partners, empowering your team of account executives to exceed their goals
- People leadership: Attract, empower and develop a strong team. Build an incredible culture for your people with customer-obsession at the heart of everything you do
- Cross functional collaboration: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to solve problems, drive growth and opportunities, bringing them along on the journey. Be a thought partner to your internal and external executive stakeholders

- Extensive experience of developing and operationalising a sales strategy
- Experience in leading and developing team members
- Ability to balance short term sales achievement with long term business building vision and execution
- Competence with numbers and analytical skills, critical thinking and entrepreneurial approach.
