Reporting to the Deputy CEO, the Head of Property & Leasing Manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing retail properties and leasing processes for our retail spaces. The primary role involves securing and managing leases for retail stores, maintaining property value and ensuring smooth operations across the retail property portfolio.

With approximately 300 stores (and growing), leading a high performing team, you will draw on your negotiations skills, your established network of landlords and agents and your ability to manage multiple projects across a vast geographical territory.

Key responsibilities of the role will include but not be limited to:

  • Negotiate lease terms, renewals, and agreements with tenants or landlords to ensure favorable terms for the company
  • Act as the point of contact between the company and landlords or tenants, addressing any issues, concerns, or needs that arise during the lease period
  • Assist in identifying and evaluating potential retail spaces for new store openings, relocations, or expansions, ensuring alignment with business goals
  • Build and maintain relationships with landlords, property owners, brokers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and future leasing opportunities
  • Oversee the upkeep of retail properties, including maintenance, repairs, and compliance with safety and building regulations
  • Manage property-related budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effective operations, including rent payments, utilities, and maintenance fees
  • Working with the legal team and coordinating and managing the letter of offers, disclosure documents and leases.

About you:

  • Ideally you bring 5-6 years' experience within a similar environment (Retail or QSR)
  • Willingness to travel nationally as needed
  • Exceptional and proven leadership skills, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions
  • Extensive experience gained from a retail property & leasing environment is a MUST and will be beneficial to your success

This full-time position offers the opportunity for a passionate Head of Property & Leasing to join to join a fast-paced and lead a high performing team. This is a very exciting time to join the company as you will be part of a large, experienced and super-fun team, working 5 days in the office on St Kilda Road with access to lots of public transport, cafes near by and with dogs in the office – this is a role not to be missed
