Government Opportunity - Temp Roster Officer, $44.49/hr, WWC Blue Card Required

**Your new company**

You’ll be part of a Government organisation located in the growth corridor of the South East Queensland region. You will be engaged at the entity’s Wacol location on a 3-month contract (with possibility of extension) as a Roster Officer.

**Your new role**

Duties will include:

- Maintain processes and systems for staff rosters including roster planning, the coverage of shifts, leave and training.
- Maintain accurate recording on registers
- Research, establish and maintain an in-depth knowledge and understanding of current legislation, awards, certified agreements, employment policies and practices affecting the employment of staff.
- Liaise on a regular basis with managers and other relevant stakeholders to ensure that rostering and staff movements are captured and reflected correctly on all systems.
- Investigate enquires relating to human resource and rostering issues ensuring timely and accurate solutions are reached and respond to written and verbal enquires with a pro-active and positive approach.

**What you'll need to succeed**

You will have prior experience in rostering and strong administrative skills. You will hold a current Paid Working With Children’s Check (Blue Card). You will have proven organisational and time management skills with the ability to liaise with a variety of stakeholders.

**What you'll get in return**

You will have the opportunity to work within the public sector and be an engaged member of the community. You will work a non-continuous shift roster, with 2 shifts covering the hours between 5am to 8pm (potential for overtime). You will receive $44.49/hr.
