**The Position**:
The Operations Manager will lead south-west region of our Truck Rentals business. In this newly created role, you will develop and maintain the field service operations including relationships with internal stakeholders, peers & customers. In addition, you will be accountable for safety management, vehicle productivity and customer relationship management.
- Managing the end of hire process, including asset inspections, reconciliations and reporting equipment conditions and safety checks.
- Overseeing the completion of the handover and delivery of rental equipment to customers including driver familiarisation training.
- Assist with the pre-delivery of new vehicles, and disposal of vehicles, including the inspection of LTR equipment prior to return.
- Responsible for the maintenance and repair of the fleet including defect management
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the on-time, cost-effective service and repair of equipment
- Booking and coordinating of registration and regulatory or industry specific inspections to be completed within the dates required to maintain compliance of the fleet.
- Ensure adherence to all Group Health & Safety procedures and provide a safe environment for all employees and customers

**About You**
- Experienced Leader. Ready to go who can take control, highly developed communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to lead and negotiate with customers and suppliers and employees.
- Ability to confidently develop and lead a high-performance team and doesn’t mind getting their hands dirty.
- Understanding of COR and the transportation of dangerous goods (advantage)
- Process driven, analytical and methodical. Process and continuous improvement focused
- Understanding of commercial financial reporting and cost management
- Experience working with safety management systems.
