**Eligibility**

**Division Responsibilities**

The People, Communication and Parliamentary Division (PCPD) provides efficient and

effective parliamentary, human resources, change management, market research and

communication services that are responsive to the department’s priorities. In doing PCPD

seeks to ensure its customers have confidence in its capability to respond to their needs and

find it easy to access the information and services they need.

**Branch Responsibilities**

The Ministerial and Parliamentary Services branch manages best practise client services,

whole of portfolio parliamentary related material and processes. The branch has a strong

commitment to identifying opportunities to continuously improve and streamline our

processes and using information to inform decision making. This is done through:

- Providing parliamentary services and products of the highest quality.
- Delivery of Cabinet support and advice to our clients, including Minister’s office,

consistent with Cabinet processes and utilising CabNet+Viewer.
- Delivery of key PDMS enhancements, modules and projects with a strong focus on

driving innovation, information, data analytics, automation and robotics.
- Development and delivery of education and training products and support for our

clients.

**Section Responsibilities**

The Cabinet and Parliamentary Coordination Section is responsible for facilitating whole of

department coordination and briefing for senate estimates, question time, Cabinet Liaison

and parliamentary committees. The section also supports Ministerial Appointments to the

Health Portfolio Committees, boards and agencies and assist in the processes involved when

creating and appointing members to External Departmental Committees and Boards,

including ongoing committee management. A key focus is on maintaining strong

relationships with business areas, Minister’s office, DLOs, and external stakeholders.***

**Key Responsibilities**

In line with APS Work Level Standards and the Integrated Leadership System, the successful

occupant will need to be flexible and agile and be able to manage various competing

demands and priorities. In collaboration with the Assistant Director your key responsibilities

could include:

- providing timely advice and support to departmental officers and senior executive

on processes, preparation and timing of Cabinet documents, responses and briefing

material;
- liaising and negotiating with our Minister's Office, departmental staff and other

government agencies
- delivery of Cabinet training and coordinating regular reporting processes.
- assisting with the management of Ministerial requirements for all Health Portfolio

Ministerial Offices.
- Identifying opportunities for, and implementing, continuous process improvements

to enable more streamlined service offering for clients while modernising existing

work practices.***
