Are you a logistics professional with experience in managing export and transportation operations? Due to recent expansion, an opportunity has become available for a skilled _**Freight Import Operations Specialist**_ to join a dynamic team in Wetherill Park.

Joining a leading retailer in furniture products, you will ensure the seamless execution of daily freight forwarding across a number of states while maintaining compliance with internal policies and port regulations.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Oversee and manage end to end import process and documentation
- Ensure correct documentation is applied for port clearance
- Organising containers once received
- Act as the primary contact for all customs-related inquiries
- Organise transport and prepare necessary import documentation
- Respond to internal requests, including quotations, deadlines, and transport insurance matters
- Liase with shipping companies to negotiate the best prices within desired time constraints
- Adhere to and enforce transport constraints and regulations

**The successful applicant**:

- 3+ years experience in managing containers into the port
- Excellent knowledge and skills in import documentation/clearance
- Good connection with sea freight market
- Strong knowledge of customs regulations
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to think outside the box and resolve issues
- Computer literate
- Full working rights - must be available Monday - Friday

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift

**Experience**:

- Freight: 2 years (preferred)
- Import: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Full Driver Licence (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)

Work Location: In person
