R Melling & Associates is seeking a new starter to the industry to support their international Customs Brokerage and Freight Forwarding business, conveniently located in East Victoria Park. In this role, you will learn management of end-to-end freight operations across air, sea and road, coordinating with clients, carriers and service partners to ensure outstanding customer outcomes and compliance with regulators.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end freight operations across air, sea and road, including international courier bookings
  • Oversee bookings, documentation, tracking and deliveries
  • Update tracking spreadsheets
  • Resolve shipment issues and ensure compliance with regulators
  • Provide proactive updates and customer support
  • Communicate any shipment delays or issues to clients

Who We're Looking For:

  • Upcoming or recent school leaver with Australian work rights and availability to work full-time
  • No experience required – on the job training given
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Organised, focused and attentive with an eye for detail
  • Eager to learn, positive and a collaborative team player
  • Enjoys problem-solving and has sound keyboard and computer skills
