Nothing is too big or too small for the Duty Supervisor to pursue and produce the best possible mountain experience for our guests. Do you have what it takes to be Mt Buller’s next Terrain Park Duty Supervisor?

The Duty Supervisor is a labour-intensive position that is responsible for construction, maintenance, and repair of all features; in addition to safety awareness and educating guests on terrain park etiquette. Daily responsibilities include opening and closing the terrain park, ensuring all signage and branding is well presented, testing features and assessing risk throughout the day, gathering and reporting information and assisting Ski Patrol with any incidents within the Terrain Park area. The Duty Supervisor will provide exceptional guest service and be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

**Job Responsibilities Include**:

- Responsible for establishing and maintaining all aspects of the Terrain Park operation.
- To provide the safest possible environment for our guests and team members.
- Provide excellent customer service, address guest inquiries and concerns promptly, and maintain a clean and organized environment
- Ensures proper and complete documentation of Terrain Park log sheets, Occupational Health and Safety documentation and incident reporting and investigation
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination and communication across all areas of operation
- Identify areas for improvement in the Terrain Park Operations and implement strategies to enhance efficiency, safety, and guest satisfaction
- Conduct ongoing training sessions to reinforce skills, address any gaps in knowledge, and introduce new procedures or technology
- Communicate clear performance expectations for terrain park staff and volunteers
- Conduct regular performance evaluations to provide feedback, recognise achievements, and address areas for improvement
- Develop and maintain leadership, supervisor and technical skills.
- Create a positive and inclusive work environment where staff feel valued, supported, and motivated to perform their best.
- Encourage open communication and feedback channels to address concerns, recognise achievements, and foster a sense of belonging
- Regularly assess and respond to factors that impact staff satisfaction, such as workload, work-life balance, and opportunities for growth.
- Communicates with Terrain Park manager, Control Centre and Mountain Operations manager with any problems or issues that may arise, Uses the appropriate communication channels that follows the correct chain of command.
- Ensure that staff members are trained in and comply with all health and safety regulations, including those related to equipment operation, lifting techniques, and emergency procedures.
- Monitor weather conditions and make operational decisions accordingly, prioritising guest safety always
- Ensure all Risk Management and incident reporting is completed in a timely and thoroughly manner
- Ensure all signage, closures and markers are maintained to a high standard
- Maintain a clear understanding of roles and responsibilities in the likelihood of an incident

**We’re looking for people with**:

- A good work ethic
- Able to work independently and make decisions on own assessment
- Very responsible & have broad vision of daily duties
- Exceptional communication skills
- Expert skier/rider in the park and overall
- Able to test all Terrain Park features including XL Rails and Jumps
- Able to lift up to 20kg (raking, shovelling & lifting large objects)
- Able to work outdoors in adverse winter weather conditions for up to 10 hours/day
- Able to direct guests and look out for safety concerns

**Requirements**:

- At least 18 years old
- Must be available to work from the commencement of the winter season until the end of the season
- Valid Driver's License
- Must pass a ski/ride test to ensure expert level
