We have multiple opportunities for both Full-Time and Casual Maintenance Officers - Handy people who will ensure the facilities for our guests and residents are maintained to the international 5-star standards we deliver. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, this role will suit a team player, someone who is pro-active, solution minded and has a hands-on approach.

The suitable applicant will be able to demonstrate previous experience in building maintenance (ideally in a hotel). An applicant with painting, plastering, electrical or carpentry skills will be advantageous. You will be proactive, highly organised and have a high attention to detail. This is a hands-on role in a fast paced environment and we’re looking for a trustworthy, energetic individual with good communication skills who can work unsupervised and in a team environment.

Responsibilities include:

- Undertake work across the hotel, working in an all-round capacity in all facets of the Maintenance team.
- Carry out all preventative maintenance programs and assist with all scheduled repairs.
- Complete duties in a responsible and competent manner.
- Respond to and carry out all departmental or guest requested defects, repairs and or general assistance.
- Communicate directly with the appropriate tradesperson or contractors, and follow up until action has been taken.
- Respond promptly to all calls for assistance and communicate actions taken.
- Maintain neat and presentable self-appearance in accordance with the hotel’s grooming standards.
- Maintain harmonious working relationships with other staff members.
- Keep a clean and safe working environment.
- Comply with all of the hotel’s operational policies and procedures.
- Gain full knowledge and practice all of the hotel’s workplace health and safety guidelines (WH&S).
- Must be available over a seven day roster
- Open to full-time or casual employment
