Redpath Partners are recruiting a Safety Coordinator to join a Tier 1 Contractor on an exciting new (BESS) Battery Energy Storage System project.

They have a need for a Safety Coordinator to join their team as project will be kicking off in coming weeks and will last for the next 2+ years. This will be a full time permanent position and be based 5 days on site.

**The Role**
The role directly reports into the Project manager, National HSE Manager and HQ HSE Team.
- Provide strong leadership and guidance to the team, promoting a positive Safety culture.
- Ensure all suppliers and subcontractors comply with HSE requirements and have an appropriate system in place.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients, addressing any HSE concerns or requirements.

**You should build strong relationships with these key stakeholders**:

- Project Delivery Team
- Project Management Office & Australian branch office
- Headquarters
- Clients
- Local communities and stakeholders
- Network Service Providers (NSPs) and organizations like AEMO
- Design and Engineering Firms, Consultants, Sub-contractors
- Joint venture partners
- Industry partners and associations

**Qualifications & Experience**
- Bachelor's degree in Health & Safety Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field (preferred).
- Essential certification or qualification in Occupational Health and Safety.
- Additional HSE certifications like NEBOSH are a plus.
- Demonstrated HSE Manager experience in construction.
- Proficient in subcontractor and supplier management.
- Familiarity with Australian HSE laws.
- Knowledge of battery energy storage or renewable energy projects is advantageous.
