Trade Counter Sales Rep

**The Client**

Our client is one of Australia’s largest wholesalers of Industrial Hardware and Safety products having over 50,000 products across a huge range which covers;
- **Power Tools**

- **Electrical**

- **Drilling, Cutting & Abrasives**
- **Safety**

Due to an increase in demand of their products, our client is seeking several Trade Counter Sales Representatives.

**The Role**

Based at our clients large Distribution Centre in Kewdale, the Trade Desk and show room caters for wholesale and retail sales and orders for business and the general public.

The show room mainly stocks standard tools and hardware (similar to what you would see at Bunnings) as well as specialty industrial tools and hardware such as giant spanners or large truck jacks that can support 60 ton.

Working in a team of 6 you will be based at the front counter where you will be providing customer service to mainly Tradies and occasionally the general public.

Most sales will involve face to face or phone sales and searching the in house system that has over 50,000 products available that may be stocked in the show room at our clients massive warehouse or requires ordering in.

The main responsibilities include;
- **Customer Service - Face to face or Via Phone**
- **Front Counter Sales from Show Room - Eftpos or Cash**
- **Creating Invoices for counter sales**
- **Creating new client accounts on the system**
- **Searching in-house system for products**
- **Picking stocked items from show room shelves or out the back in warehouse**
- **Ordering non stocked items on the in-house systems**

**Shifts & Working Days**

Our clients Front Trade Counter shifts are as follows;
- **Working Days**:Monday to Friday
- **Working Hours**:7.6 Hours per day 38 hours per week
- **Shift Start Times**: Between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM
- **Shift End Times**:Between 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM
- **Be focused on customer service, providing a friendly and detailed service to clients**
- **Excellent communication skills - Verbal & Written**
- **Have attention to detail and be able to follow strict systems and procedures**
- **Be able to navigate computer software & systems**
- **Be a team player that enjoys contributing to a shared goal**
- **Be a positive person that has high energy levels**
- **Have good personal grooming and are well presented**

- **Have a good working knowledge of trades and hardware, tools or equipment used**

**Remuneration**

All new starters will be placed through Staff-Net, working on a casual basis for 2 to 3 months where you will then be signed over onto our clients books on a permanent basis.

**Casual Pay Rates - Working Through Staff-Net**
- **$28.00 to $30.00 Per Hour + OT + Super**

**Permanent Pay Rates**

As mentioned, once you have completed 2 to 3 months of work through Staff-Net you will be signed over onto a permanent basis, where the following pay rates will apply. There can be higher perm rates as well opportunities for advancement depending on your performance, productivity and work ethic which is assessed while you are working through Staff-Net.
- **Annual Salary**:55K + Super
- **Potential to advance into more technical roles paying 60K to 75K + Super**
