**About you**

We are looking for passionate support workers who want to help people live life their way. If you’re dedicated to assisting people with living the life they choose and supporting them with daily tasks, as well as achieving long-term goals, this is the role you’ve been looking for. We have multiple shifts on offer available in **Ashgrove**,** The Gap** and **Aspley**.

**Key duties and responsibilities**:

- Assistance with daily living tasks including personal hygiene, dressing, toileting or assistance with continence aids, eating/feeding, and transferring/mobility assistance
- Domestic activities like cleaning, cooking, laundry, and gardening
- Community access and outings not limited to driving to medical appointments, social activities, shopping, leisure outings, school activities (drop-off/pick-up)
- Supporting or introducing hobbies and activities like arts and crafts, music, sports, learning new skills, reading/tutoring, love for animals, companionship

***Requirements**:

- Qualifications in healthcare (individual support, disability, aged care, nursing) and/or relevant experience caring for people with a disability or complex care needs
- Knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support Plans and Restrictive Practice is highly desirable
- Experience caring for people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or intellectual disabilities preferred
- Blue Card and Yellow Card/NDIS Worker Screening
- First Aid and CPR Certificate
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate
- Full COVID-19 vaccination
- Current driver's licence with a registered, reliable, and insured vehicle
- Effective verbal, non-verbal, and written communication
- Basic computer skills
