**About the role**

An exciting opportunity has become available for an individual to join the workplace services team at the Department of Customer Service.? Focus area will be office accommodation of relocations, fit outs, and refurbishments.

You will assist in management and Coordination of development, implementation, and evaluation of complex projects to achieve project outcomes and support the achievement or organisational objectives.

A key focus will be to assist the manager in management of contractor/vendor performance, record keeping of projects, risk management, assist with financial management and preparation of reports/presentations.

In addition, you will also assist in managing the design and co-ordination issues on site with our client and contractors.

This role is an opportunity to work along industry leaders to gain expert knowledge particularly within the office accommodation construction sector.

This role may require travel within regional NSW and work outside regular working hours.

**To be successful in this role you will demonstrate**:

- Relevant experience with project management relating to construction
- Demonstrated knowledge of end-to-end project delivery with emphasis on procurement,?contract administration & construction management.?
- Ability to learn to manage tendering procedures and overseeing construction contractors.
- Flexible and innovative in problem solving
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in project management or equivalent?

**Key Requirements**:

- Background in construction projects
- Preference for commercial fit out projects
- Can do attitude
