Rostering Officer

IPA has been providing quality staffing solutions across Australia for over 30 years and has a strong partnership with the Queensland Government. We are partnering with our client to source a Rostering Officer in Wacol.
Some of your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Establish and implement processes and systems to manage staff rosters, including planning, shift coverage, leave, and training, in order to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Centre.
- Maintain precise records, including managing approvals for audit compliance, to ensure accurate documentation and regulatory adherence.
- Conduct comprehensive research to acquire and maintain an up-to-date understanding of current legislation, awards, certified agreements, employment policies, and practices that impact staff employment within the Youth Detention Centres.
- Regularly collaborate with managers and relevant stakeholders to ensure accurate recording and reflection of rostering and staff movements across all systems and records.
- Thoroughly investigate inquiries regarding human resources and rostering matters, ensuring timely and accurate resolutions, and respond to written and verbal inquiries in a proactive and positive manner.
- Provide knowledgeable and reliable advice and support to management and staff regarding all rostering and leave-related issues.
- Develop and maintain precise data, recording systems, and reports that pertain to the responsibilities outlined above.
