**Live-In Resident Coordinator (LIRC) - Disability Housing Sector**
Location: Phillip, ACT
Hours: Monday to Friday, 2:00pm - 8:00pm
**Free** **accommodation** in a private 2-bedroom unit (equivalent to $550p/w plus **free** utilities - electricity is approx. $1,200 p.a, water is approx. $330 p.a).
SCHADS level 3 home care employee - $55,565 p.a. plus superannuation
Salary Packaging Available (NFP tax benefits)
No weekend or public holiday shifts
**About Us**
Project Independence (PI) is a not-for-profit organisation offering a unique home ownership model for people with a mild intellectual disability. Our mission is to support residents to grow in independence, safety, and community through stable housing and person-centred support.
We are currently seeking a **Live-In Resident Coordinator (LIRC)** to join our community in a rewarding and meaningful role supporting adults with intellectual disability to thrive in shared, independent housing.
**The Role**
The Live-In Resident Coordinator plays a key role in coordinating the day-to-day running of a PI house, providing informal support, guidance, and oversight to residents. This includes:
- Household coordination, including menu planning, preparing evening meals (weeknights), and maintaining shared spaces
- Supporting residents to build independence and community living skills
- Promoting a safe, respectful and inclusive environment
- Liaising with families, support networks, and PI staff
- Living on-site in a modern, self-contained 2-bedroom unit (provided rent-free with utilities included)
- Being contactable for emergency support (non-clinical) outside of rostered hours
- The role reports to the PI Operations Manager

**Essential Requirements**
- Skills in managing a household, budgeting, meal prep, and coordinating shared living
- Ability to build respectful relationships with residents, families, and support networks
- High level of integrity, flexibility, and maturity
- Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) card
- Willingness to undergo a National Police Check
- First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid driver’s licence and own vehicle
- Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- Food Safety training or experience
**Desirable**
- Experience supporting people with intellectual disability in a community or residential setting
- Certificate III or IV in Disability, Community Services, and experience (minimum 5 years)
