We have a current vacancy in the established role of Accommodation Manager. We are seeking a person with highly developed interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), ideally with experience with the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

Our Accommodation will support and optimize client wellbeing, work in accordance with WHS practices and Access Lifecare’s values and principles. In this role ,you will be managing 10 SIL houses ,working with other allied health professionals ,participants, guardians and families. This role will involve the management of our Supported Independent Living (SIL) accommodation program to people with disabilities, funded through their NDIS plans. You will be required to engage with internal and external stakeholders, including the NDIS participant, their family and/or guardian, to influence a high level of service for clients accessing our programs and services.

**About the role**

The role includes supporting clients who live in the community to develop their independence, health and wellbeing.
Building positive relationships with clients and their families.
Communicating services and programs to prospective clients and stakeholders.
Contacting potential NDIS participants/Support coordinators to establish rapport.
Developing and maintaining relationships with Support Coordinators, Public Trustee and Guardian, clients/participants and key stake holders, to ensure high quality communication and service is provided
Training support staff and assisting in skill development.
Support participants to improve their independence by assisting with living skills, transport and social activities as well as other support as required.
Developing a positive relationship with participants and providing assistance to achieve their individual goals, while exploring their practical and complex needs.
Supports participants in accessing mainstream support e.g., mental health, legal, financial, counselling services, community and recreational connections, etc.
Monitoring & reporting health and/or behavioural changes of clients, establishing and maintaining care plans and relevant documentation/progress notes.
Effective communication skill with support staff, clients, their families and other healthcare professionals.
Maintaining privacy and dignity for clients.
Comfortable working independently and within a team environment.

**Experience and Qualifications**

You will lead your team to deliver quality client-focused NDIS services to people living with a disability, their families and carers.

Demonstrated capacity to manage crises & critical issues and deal with complex & challenging situations.
In-depth knowledge and working experience in the disability sector including NDIS.
High level of organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders including developing and maintaining relationships.
Strong computer and administration skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a diverse team
Qualifications in Nursing, Social Science, Health, Community Services, Mental Health or equivalent are highly desirable.
Current driver’s license.
Well-developed communication, interpersonal and complaints management skills

Pay: $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
