Water/Wastewater labourer required for Southside council

**Your new company**

This role will be working with the councils water team, based in Beenleigh.

**Your new role**
- Perform construction and/or maintenance activities on water and wastewater network, assets, and equipment
- Undertake live water and wastewater connections and installation of new services and meters
- Inspection and testing of fire hydrants
- Inspection and maintenance of trunk main valves boxes including dewatering, cleaning, condition assessment, repair or replacement of parts, and other works as directed.
- Locating water and wastewater infrastructure (e.g. fire hydrants)
- Sewer odour inspections
- Sewer manhole inspections and maintenance
- Undertake clean-up of raw sewage overflows on Council land and private properties as required
- Undertake clearing of blocked sewers as required
- Undertake general concreting activities

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Read and interpret an isolation plan
- Operate a valve key to open/close a valve
- Install and use a standpipe for dewatering and flushing water mains.
- Ability to work in a team or work unaccompanied
- Possess MR driver's licence
- Vaccinations, Hep A, Hep B and Tetanus (council will organise if you do not have them)
