What You'll Be Doing
As a Chemical/Process Engineer joining our QLD Water Team, you will play an integral part in a highly skilled team to engineer resilient and sustainable water infrastructure and non-infrastructure solutions.
We know the work we do is vital in assisting our state's and our world's economic development and, it's the technical expertise and the depth of knowledge of our people that really sets us apart.
In Your New Role You Will

- Have demonstrated experience in a similar position, ideally working on wastewater treatment plant performance assessment, capacity or design, process modelling, and the investment planning for water and wastewater infrastructure.
- Lead or contribute to successful teams to deliver challenging water and wastewater planning projects for our clients including Seqwater, Unitywater, Urban Utilities, and State and Federal Governments.
- Undertake and/or assist with the process design of water and wastewater treatment infrastructure, treatment plant capacity assessments and business case documentation.
- Produce high-quality technical outputs to meet client expectations including PFD's, site layouts, mass balances, assessments, reports, specifications and presentations.
- Work collaboratively with clients and stakeholders to deliver excellent project outcomes.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning by a commitment to your own ongoing learning and professional development.
We know today's complex challenges can only be solved through bringing together diverse teams of people from across our business, so there will be opportunities for you to apply your skills and creativity to projects in other geographies and markets.
What You'll Bring
Firstly, you will share our genuine passion for re-imagining engineering and be someone that actively pursues continuous learning to help shape the future. You blend technical knowledge with empathy and big-picture thinking, and you will bring an analytical mindset as well as the ability to innovate and solve problems. You're someone who thrives in dynamic environments, builds meaningful connections, and is motivated by purposeful work.
