PRIMARY DETAIL

Student First Leaders will be responsible for developing ideas and bringing a variety of student perspectives and evidence gathered to influence decision making and to drive change at Macquarie University through the Students First Program Board.

THE ROLE

We are seeking expressions of interest from current MQ students for casual Student First Leaders positions that will be available throughout the year.

**Responsibilities**:
- Be the champion and influence the decision making around student experience projects under the Students First Program Board- Help the Students First Program Board develop and validate ideas to enhance student experience at MQ- Bring a variety of student perspectives and evidence gathered to influence decision making and to drive the desire to change- Conduct benchmark and industry research to support an evidence-based approach to the initiatives proposed for implementation by the Students First Program Board- Develop relationships with students, staff and Senior Executives at the University.- Close the feedback loop and support the communication with students on the projects developed under the Students First Program Board- Participate and present at the meetings

**Requirements**:
- Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate, postgraduate or HDR degree at Macquarie University- Planning to enrol in at least one unit for Session 2 - 2021- Have already completed at least 2 study sessions at MQ- Strong research skills that include the ability to conduct benchmarking exercise and industry research- Strong written and verbal skills- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines- Ability to promote change and build compelling arguments- Ability to influence others

The role is offered as a casual contract and will be paid at a HEW 2, Step 1 hourly rate $38.37.
