**About the Division**

IMTD provides secure, reliable and integrated information and technology platforms, systems, and services that transform education environments, and enable a great education for every child and young person.

IMTD is responsible for supporting one of the largest technology networks in Victoria and leading the department's technology, digital capability, business systems and digital transformation. This network consists of Schools, Corporate and Early Childhood Education (ECE) including a school user base of more than 1500 Government schools, 50,000 teachers and 650,000 students.

IMTD provides leadership in the transformation and management of the Department's digital capability through the implementation of solutions on the department's cloud environment (IaaS), enterprise cloud platforms (PaaS) and software (SaaS), using agile practices with a focus on user experience, security, and integration.

**About the Role**

The Technology Asset Governance Lead is responsible for overseeing the Technology Assessment Framework used to manage technology and ICT assets managed by IMTD. This role ensures strategic planning, governance, and compliance in alignment with IT policies. Key responsibilities include coordinating asset tracking, reporting, and optimisation efforts to maximise value and minimise risk, thereby supporting the organisation's operational efficiency and compliance posture.

**Attributes**
- **Asset Lifecycle Oversight**: Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of IT assets across all sites, ensuring strategic planning, procurement, deployment, maintenance, and disposal align with organisational goals.
- **Governance and Compliance**: Develop, implement, and enforce IT asset governance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to internal standards and external regulatory requirements.
- **Policy Alignment**: Ensure all asset management practices are in alignment with broader IT governance policies, promoting consistency and compliance across the organisation.
- **Asset Tracking and Reporting**: Coordinate the accurate tracking and documentation of all IT assets, generating regular reports to inform decision-making and support audits.
- **Optimisation Initiatives**: Identify and implement strategies to optimise asset utilization, reduce costs, and enhance the efficiency of asset management processes.
- **Stakeholder Collaboration**: Work closely with internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless integration and management of IT assets throughout their lifecycle.
- **Risk Management**: Identify potential risks related to asset management and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on the organisation.
- **Continuous Improvement**: Regularly review and refine asset management processes to ensure they remain effective, efficient, and aligned with organisational objectives.

**Desirable**Qualifications and Experience**
- Minimum of 5 years in IT asset management or a related field, with demonstrated experience in governance, compliance, and optimisation.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
