**Position Overview**:
The Metal Fabricator plays a crucial role in our Building Operations division, responsible for the maintenance and improvement of Council’s assets. This role involves hands-on metal fabrication work, including both reactive repairs and proactive maintenance. You will be tasked with fabricating, installing, and upgrading various metal structures, ensuring that all work is conducted safely and to the highest quality standards.

As a Metal Fabricator, you will work under the guidance of the Team Leader and will have the chance to contribute to significant projects that enhance the community's infrastructure. You will be expected to interpret plans accurately and perform tasks independently while adhering to strict safety and quality regulations.

We are looking for an experienced Metal Fabricator who is dedicated to delivering quality workmanship and safety in all tasks undertaken.
- Trade Certificate in Metal Fabrication, Boiler-making, or similar (Cert 3) is essential as well as a Building Industry Induction Certificate (white card) and a Class C driver’s licence.
- Extensive post-trade experience with proficiency in MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
- Ability to interpret technical plans and a thorough understanding of work health and safety procedures.
- LR, MR, HR, or HC or a forklift licence would be advantageous, as well as confined space and working at heights training.

- **Package**:$67,700 - $75,600 gross p.a. plus 11.5% superannuation.
- **Hours of work: Permanent Full** Time 38 hours per week with an RDO every fortnight
