**Department**: ESG - Disclosure & Reporting
**Division**: Communications & Public Affairs
**Location**: Melbourne
About Us
At ANZ, we're shaping a world where people and communities thrive, driven by a common goal: to improve the financial wellbeing and sustainability of our millions of customers.
About the Role
As the Manager of ESG Reporting, Process, and Content, you will play a crucial role in supporting ANZ's ESG and Modern Slavery reporting. Your responsibilities will include ensuring compliance with both voluntary and mandatory reporting obligations, as well as effectively communicating our ESG performance and managing ESG risks and opportunities. This position requires an individual with exceptional organisational and editing skills, capable of working under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
You will be working in a dynamic environment where the bank's climate and broader ESG policies are under increasing scrutiny from social, governmental, investor, and customer perspectives. Additionally, you will navigate the introduction of mandatory climate disclosures in Australia. Banking is changing and we’re changing with it, giving our people great opportunities to try new things, learn and grow. Whatever your role at ANZ, you’ll be building your future, while helping to build ours.
**Role Type**: Permanent, Full Time
**Role Location**: Melbourne, VIC
What will your day look like?
Support day to day project management of stakeholder inputs and reviews of ESG and Modern Slavery reporting, to meet voluntary and mandatory reporting standards and stakeholder expectations (with a focus on Social and Governance pillars).
Support provision of guidance on ESG/Modern Slavery reporting inputs from ANZ functions and business units including Suncorp Bank and New Zealand.
Support development and drafting of disclosures ensuring consistency within the document and inputs into materials for Finance, Investor Relations and Corporate Governance teams, including the design and publication.
Coordination and collation of assurance evidence and liaising with external assurance team.
Support uplift of ESG reporting governance controls.
Conduct regular and on-going peer benchmarking of ESG reporting, and support ESG disclosure enquiries as required.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Experience contributing to ESG/Modern Slavery reporting for an ASX-listed organisation.
Strong relationship and networking skills to engage and coordinate internal stakeholder inputs.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
**Some additional ‘nice to have’ skills for this role include**:
Sound understanding of ESG reporting regulations and compliance requirements in different regions.
Strong analytical, writing and communications skills, including the ability to understand and simplify complex matters.
Ability to prioritise tasks and to work under pressure within various constraints
Enjoy working in a fast-paced, customer centric and collaborative team environment.
Legal, financial, risk or regulatory reporting experience.
You’re not expected to have 100% of these skills. At ANZ a growth mindset is at the heart of our culture, so if you have most of these things in your toolbox, we’d love to hear from you.
So why join us?
From the moment you join ANZ, you'll be doing meaningful work that will shape a world where people and communities thrive.
But it's not just our customers who'll feel your impact. you'll feel it too. Because at ANZ, you'll have the resources, opportunities, and support you need to take the next big step in your career.
We're a diverse bunch at ANZ in different roles, different locations, doing different things. That's why we have a range of flexible working arrangements, so our people can 'make work, work for them'. We also provide a range of benefits including access to health and wellbeing services and discounts on selected products and services from ANZ and more.
