Your Opportunity
As the International Administration Officer you will be responsible for:

- Contribute to a positive student experience with the provision of efficient and timely administrative services in support of international students.
- Contribute to organisational compliance under the Education for Overseas Students (ESOS) legislative framework.

This position reports to the Team Leader, International Administration.
This is a temporary, full time backfill opportunity, ideally commencing 2nd December 2024 until 2nd May 2025 unless otherwise determined.
The position will be based primarily at Southbank however you may be required to perform work at other TAFE Queensland campuses.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the success of transformation and cultural change through promoting and modelling the established values of Safety First, Working Together, Focussing on our Customer, Taking Responsibility and Showing Initiative.
- Live a safety culture, lead by example and support the Health Safety and Environment Management System to create a TAFE Queensland -wide safety culture.
- Provide professional administrative support to international students by undertaking the system processing required to manage changes to course enrolment for international students by utilising various software packages, systems, databases and web-based technologies.
- Ensure that international student enrolment and financial information is processed and recorded accurately and according to predetermined policies and within compliance timeframes.
- Case manage international students by maintaining accurate PRISMS enrolment data to support organisational compliance with the ESOS legislative framework.
- Plan and coordinate own tasks and activity based on established priorities and reprioritising as necessary should situations change.
- Engage with and work with others in achieving results and the provision of excellent customer service.
- Carry out complex tasks of a financial nature including fee amendments, student refunds, payment plan setup and management, and support debt recovery actions ensuring processes are carried out in accordance with TAFE Queensland policies and procedures.
- Provide advice on process, procedures and workflows, mentor junior administration staff on internal processes and review existing processes looking for efficiency and opportunities for continuous improvements.
- Ensure day to day activities align with business operations.
- Contribute to improvement in business processes and practices.

The ideal applicant will be someone who has the following key capabilities:

- Displays the initiative, attitude and ability to thrive within a dynamic, challenging and changing environment.
- Demonstrate ability in undertaking duties of an administrative nature including working within policies, procedures and guidelines to provide a quality service to customers, other internal and external stakeholders.
- Possess well-developed interpersonal and communication skills including written communication and client liaison skills.
- Demonstrated ability to perform administrative tasks accurately, efficiently and within strict deadlines.
- Experience in using student management systems and an ability to utilise Microsoft Office suite, and other office technologies.
