
Advisor Cyber Security Governance

Great Southern Bank is seeking a new Advisor, Security Governance to join the team on a permanent full-time basis. The Cyber Security Governance Advisor role is crucial for bolstering the Bank's cybersecurity posture by developing and implementing comprehensive frameworks, awareness, third-party security review program and cyber testing co-ordination. This role ensures that cyber security measures are seamlessly integrated into business processes, aligning with our customer-first ethos, and contributing significantly to the safeguarding of customer data and trust.
**Your Responsibilities**:
- Develop, implement, and maintain a robust cyber security governance framework in line with CPS 234 requirements.
- Conduct periodic reviews and updates of the framework to maintain its effectiveness.
- Conduct ongoing assessments of third-party security in line with CPS 234 requirements.
- Collaborate with Commercial and Legal teams to ensure contractual obligations related to cyber security are met
- Prepare regular reports on cyber security risk posture and mitigation efforts for presentation to the Board and relevant committees.
- Oversee the escalation and resolution of identified cyber security risks and incidents.
- Conduct cyber security testing, including testing of controls, penetration testing and red/purple team assessments.
**About you**:
- Experience in cyber security governance, risk, and compliance role.
- Familiarity with frameworks such as CPS 234, NIST, ISO 27001 and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Experience in developing and implementing policies, procedures and controls related to cyber security.
- Governance of cyber security controls operating in a federated environment.
- Knowledge of risk assessment methodologies and experience conducting security assessments and reviews.
