Job Title: Cyber Security Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cyber Security Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional who wants to make a positive impact in the field of cyber security.

About this Role

This role is responsible for managing and improving customer's security governance, risk management and compliance framework. The successful candidate will ensure adherence to defense security regulatory requirements, develop security policies meeting business objectives, conduct regular risk assessments and implement controls to protect customer's digital assets.

Critical Responsibilities
  • Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and frameworks as per regulatory requirements.
  • Perform regular security audits to identify vulnerabilities and threats.
  • Implement security controls to prevent cyber attacks and data breaches.
  • Conduct vulnerability management and threat detection activities.
  • Monitor security event logs to detect and respond to security incidents.
Knowledge & Skill Requirement
  • Bachelor's degree in cyber security or information technology.
  • 5+ years' experience in cyber security risk management, policy development, and governance.
  • Strong knowledge of security audit, documentation development, vulnerability management, and security event monitoring.
  • Industry certifications like CISA, ISO Lead Implementer/Auditor or similar are desirable.

Security Requirements

The Australian Department of Defense is a major client, and you must be eligible for SECRET (NV1) level Defense security clearance, and preferably already hold a current SECRET (NV1) clearance.
