**Highlighting the importance of this role**

An opportunity exists for a Food Services Assistant to join our team at Oak Towers Aged Care on a Part-time basis, working 30 hours per Fortnight. Our 102-bed service is surrounded by beautiful parklands and located only 9km from Melbourne’s CBD.

Joining a supportive and friendly team, you will be responsible for kitchen and dining room duties and your day to day tasks will include but not be limited to:

- Assisting in the preparation of meals;
- Maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen and equipment;
- Assisting with the serving of meals, including setting up and cleaning the dining room, trolleys and trays.

You will be required to have shift flexibility, and be available for weekend, morning, afternoon and evening work.

**What you can bring to the team**

You are an enthusiastic worker who enjoys being a team player and can work autonomously.

Ideally you will have:

- Certificate II in Kitchen Operations or similar is desirable but not essential;
- Previous relevant work experience will be highly regarded;
- Experience working in the Aged Care industry is desirable;
- Willingness to work a variety of shifts across a 7-day week;
- Possess or have the ability to acquire a current National Police and NDIS Screen Check.
