**Job Description**:
We are seeking a highly motivated and professional Sample Reception Officer based in Notting Hill, to ensure all jobs are unpacked, sorted and logged into the information management system in a timely manner. Liaise with clients to ensure satisfactory customer focussed services are provided.

Your key responsibilities in this role will include but are not limited to:

- Unpack and sort samples in a timely manner.
- Ensure samples are identified, labelled and stored correctly.
- Register samples using the laboratory information management system.
- Ensure all samples are free of contaminations during log-in and sub-sampling process.
- Resolve inconsistencies with incoming samples.
- Providing assistance to the Sample Reception & CS Manager by generating worksheets and/or cross-checking entries.
- Ensure all samples are being subcontracted correctly.
- Assist clients with logistics issues.
- Perform field sampling and sample disposals as required.
- Follow up, monitor and report on all pending activities to the customer.
- Listen to and anticipate the client’s needs and pains to offer the most suitable solution.
- Identify, act upon and follow up client reported issues and inform the sales, operations as appropriate.
- Perform other duties as directed by the Sample Reception & CS Manager..

**Qualifications**:

- Appropriate tertiary qualification
- Commercial laboratory experience preferred
- Experience in reception in a laboratory environment
- Experience with register logs and data and records management
- Able to perform manual handling
