Job Overview
Are you a third or fourth year electrical apprentice who is looking to partner with a company that can offer you the opportunity to build an ongoing career within the manufacturing and mining industries?
We are currently seeking to recruit apprentices who would like to join our Underground Mining Apprentice Program. This unique opportunity will provide training within our modern workshop facility based in Rutherford and will allow you the opportunity to work with a global OEM.
Whilst undertaking the Program, you will learn how to repair and rebuild Joy Underground Mining equipment, receive specific product training, developed and delivered by our qualified in-house trainers, as well as having the opportunity to undertake site rotations working at our customer’s mine site, experiencing firsthand an underground mining environment. This opportunity will allow you to become not only a qualified tradesperson but an industry ready tradesperson and future mine based Service Engineer, working with a global OEM.
Key Job Responsibilities
Demonstrated commitment to safety.
Undertake trade training and specialist product training in line with RTO and OEM requirements.
Inspect products and/or materials for conformity utilising established operational standards.
Perform trade related tasks under supervision either individually or in a team environment.
Perform non-trade tasks which are incidental to your work.
Qualifications/Requirements
An individual who has a strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
A genuine interest in pursuing a career in your chosen trade with Komatsu.
Apprentices who have completed the first two years in Certificate III Electrotechnology
An aptitude for technical / electrical work and a desire to continue learning.
Well developed written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Willingness to travel and work away from home.
