Plant Mechanic Trade Trainer

What you'll be doing

You'll be the go-to trainer for apprentices learning the ropes of plant mechanics, for everything from hydraulics and diagnostics to engines and electrical systems. You'll bring your real-world experience into a hands-on learning environment where no two days are the same.

As a Trade Trainer, you will inspire and educate our trade students by:

• Delivering engaging and hands-on training sessions aligned with industry standards
• Providing guidance and mentorship to aspiring tradies.
• Assisting in the development of comprehensive training materials, including lesson plans, presentations, and assessments.
• Fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Working closely with the Training Team Leader (Trade) and Lead Trainer & Assessor to implement effective and holistic programs, ensuring successful student outcomes.

You will work closely with our team of experienced trainers to deliver high quality training, assessment, and support to our students through face-to-face delivery.

What you'll bring to the table

Our trainers are actively engaged in industry practice whilst teaching, giving students insight into current industry processes and trends. To be successful in this role, you will also need:

• Qualifications: Hold a current qualification in Plant Mechanics and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessing (or willingness to obtain), bring real-world expertise to the classroom.
• Independent Yet Collaborative: Thrive working solo but also shine working with our team.
• People Skills That Spark Connection: Clear, confident, and engaging communication style, helping you connect with students and colleagues.
• VET-Savvy: Have hands-on experience in the Vocational Education and Training sector and understand what it takes to help students succeed.
• Tech-Confident: Be comfortable navigating Microsoft Suite and Office 365, using digital tools to enhance learning and streamline your work.
