- **We currently have a permanent opportunity for an Associate role to join the AML team within Corporate & Institutional Banking.**
**The Role**:
As an Associate you will be part of a team that focuses on the AML regulatory due diligence requirements of Corporate & Institutional Banking (C&IB) clients and is responsible for new customer onboarding and periodic KYC reviews of C&IB Customers to ensure NAB meets its AML/CTF policies and obligations. This role will ensure any risks or breaches are identified and escalated quickly and keep abreast of any process and procedure changes.
**Responsibilities include**:
- Obtain and verify AML/regulatory compliance documents from bankers and clients
- Perform due diligence and assess C&IB client risk profiles accurately (Right First Time)
- Build relationships with the business owners who may sell their company to Software Combined in the foreseeable future.
- Understands customer lifecycle and the steps in AML processes
- Meet onboarding, ongoing customer due diligence and other ad-hoc AML/KYC and regulatory compliance remediation project deadlines
- Complete accurate customer screening and assessment to identify Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing, Tax Evasion and other risks.
- Bring and implement new ideas that will help mature the Financial Crime processes within CIB
**Your skills and experience**:
- 1-2 years AML experience in Corporate Institutional Banking or Investment Banks.
- Impeccable communication details with the ability to effectively interact with senior professionals, clients and key stakeholders in other line of business.
- Sound understanding and working knowledge of the AML/CTF program: Part A and Part B regulatory requirements.
- Good understanding of beneficial ownerships of different entity types (e.g., Companies, Trust, Partnerships, etc)
- Strong knowledge of wholesale banking products and services
- Sound experience in an AML KYC role in Australia or other countries completing due diligence and risk assessments for onboarding and/or periodic reviews
- A go-getter who is willing to roll up their sleeves and who enjoys operating in a fast-paced environment
