Disability Support Worker

Jim’s Healthcare is a member of the renowned Jim’s Group of Companies. We are expanding our services and are seeking an experienced Care Workers for **permanent shifts (minimum 20 hours a week guaranteed)**in (Chifley, NSW) for the following minimum shifts:

- 4.00pm to 8.00pm Weekly on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday
- 4:30pm to 6:30pm Weekly on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday
- Possible weekend work and additional shifts

**About the role **

In this role, you'll provide essential and practical care to help older people, and people living with a disability to live independently in their homes and directly improve their quality of life. The role requires travel to clients’ homes using your own car for which you'll be paid $0.99 cents per km plus paid travel time.

As a start, your first client will be a lady in her late 40’s, living with an intellectual disability and autism spectrum disorder. The client is non-verbal and loves a walk around where she lives. Client prefers female care worker.

Your duties will include:

- Providing personal care - helping with bathing and dressing
- Helping around the home - meal preparation and light house cleaning
- Assistance with bowel management
- Assisting with feeding

**About you **
- You can relate to people and you're patient and solutions focused.
- You have in-depth experience in the provision of disability care, especially to clients with intellectual disabilities who are non-verbal.
- Minimum Cert 3 in Disability Care
- Current First Aid, CPR, Police Check, NDIS Checks
- Drivers Licence with fully insured vehicle
- You'll be flexible around meeting the changing needs of home care clients

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $38.02 - $41.43 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
