Our Bereavement Services team delivers free, specialised support to anyone affected by pregnancy, infant or child loss. This includes counselling, peer support, support groups, our 24/7 Support Line, and community-based programs.
About the Role
We are seeking a Clinical Supervisor to join our Bereavement Services team. Reporting to the National Counselling Manager, this role provides clinical leadership and supervision to our counsellors, ensuring families receive the highest quality support during their grief journey.
In this role, you will:
- Provide individual supervision and mentoring to bereavement counsellors.
 - Support professional growth through reflective practice, case reviews, and targeted training.
 - Deliver education and training sessions internally and externally.
 - Maintain a small client caseload, modelling best practice in grief and bereavement care.
 - Collaborate with health professionals, hospitals, and community organisations to promote Red Nose services.

About You
You are a qualified professional with a degree in psychology, social work, counselling, or a related field, and hold registration with a recognised professional body such as PACFA, AASW, APS, ACA or AHPRA. You bring at least five years' counselling experience in health or community settings, along with proven expertise in providing clinical supervision.
We're looking for someone who can demonstrate:
- A strong understanding of grief, bereavement and complex family dynamics
 - Skill and confidence in supporting clients with significant risk factors or complex needs
 - Inclusive and respectful practice, engaging effectively with families from diverse backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, culturally and linguistically diverse communities, LGBTIQ+ families, and those experiencing social or economic disadvantage
 - Experience working in hospital settings or in collaboration with health professionals
 - Familiarity with client management systems and evidence-based practice models

It will also be an advantage if you have completed additional training in bereavement counselling or supervision, or if you have experience delivering grief and loss education.
This role requires current Police and Working with Children Checks, and a willingness to occasionally travel interstate or work flexibly outside standard hours.

We offer:
- Purposeful work supporting families during their most vulnerable moments
 - A supportive, connected team culture with regular supervision and development
 - Genuine flexibility and work from home options
 - Not-for-profit salary packaging benefits
 - A values-led organisation working with care, courage and collaboration
