D & S Healthcare Pty Ltd, an independent disability and aged care provider. We are expanding our services and are seeking an experienced Support Worker in (Chifley & Maroubra areas, NSW) for ongoing casual shifts with view to permanent shifts in the future, must be available Mondays from 4 - 8pm.

About the role  In this role, you'll provide essential and practical care to help older people, and people living with a disability to live independently in their homes and directly improve their quality of life. The role requires travel to clients’ homes using your own car for which you'll be paid km travelled.

As a start, your first client will be a lady in her late 40’s, living with an intellectual disability and autism spectrum disorder. The client is non-verbal and loves a walk around where she lives. **Client prefers female support worker.**

Your duties will include:
**Providing personal care - helping with bathing and dressing**

Helping around the home - meal preparation and light house cleaning

**Assistance with bowel management**

Assisting with feeding

About you

**You can relate to people and you're patient and solutions focused.**

You have in-depth experience in the provision of disability care, especially to clients with intellectual disabilities who are non-verbal.

**Minimum Cert 3 in Disability Care** Current First Aid, CPR, Police Check, NDIS Checks **Drivers Licence with fully insured vehicle**

You'll be flexible around meeting the changing needs of home care clients

Rosters 2 weeks in advance so you can plan ahead

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $34.44 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 - 12 per week

- Disability Support Worker or healthcare related industry: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- NDIS Worker Screen (preferred)
- Driver Licence (preferred)
- Certificate 3 in Disability or Aged Care (preferred)
