About the Role
The Clinical Nurse - Clinical Facilitator (CF) role provides clinical education services, support and advocacy for graduate nurses, University Students in Nursing and staff across a range of clinical units. The CF also provides educational support to student nurses and external education provider student supervisors, as required. This support is inclusive of facilitating delivery of nursing education programs, use of educational resources and providing nursing expertise related to educational issues. Education and support that works towards meeting strategic priorities of Nursing Services within Metro South Health (MSH).
This role works collaboratively within the healthcare team structure and is pivotal to ensure novice nurses (both students and graduate nurses) are supported to provide quality nursing care and develop to their potential. The CF provides leadership for professional and clinical practice, education, and research. The role also supports management activities, including portfolio responsibilities.
