We are looking for a Release Manager for one of our clients in Sydney/Brisbane/Melbourne, Australia.

**Short Description**:
Suppose your passion is to work with **Team Members, Stakeholders, Customers**, **Partners, Vendors **and **all levels of Management along with Release management **and **Process improvement**. Then this role is for you.

**Role and Responsibilities**:

- **Develop, maintain** and **manage overall release management** criteria and plan.
- Package up change as part of regular releases to ensure production stability and discipline in migrations.
- Assess and approve the quality of migration readiness in conjunction with the project lifecycle process, data quality and testing signoff's.
- Manage and co-ordinate vendors involved in the release where appropriate.
- Ensure that operations staff handovers have been successfully completed prior to release.
- Communicate across the team and with the business release management schedule.
- Work with change manager to communicate proposed change to business process, training schedules, overall benefits of project deployment and recognition of success.
- Promote the segregation in duty of migration activities.
- Establish, configure and maintain non-production environments.
- Liaise with vendor for issue resolution and upgrade planning.
- Manage source code, including version control.
- Support releases and manage migrations between environments.
- Develop release batch schedules.
- Develop and manage medium to large implementation plans.
- Build and maintain broad Release Management calendar and integrate release management processes across portfolio.
- Identify, prepare **'crunch', analyse **and **present data utilising available technologies.**:

- Build **constructive working relationships** and **engagement with Team Members, Stakeholders, Customers**, **Partners, Vendors **and **all levels of Management.**

**Qualifications Required**:

- Tertiary Qualification in Information Technology and/or Business or equivalent industry experience Desired.

**Experience Required**:

- At least **5 years appropriate industry experience.**:

- Previous **experience in a large organization in a Release Management role.**:

- Experience in **managing conflicting needs** of **project and testing team** and **meeting these with appropriate source code management and development environment** set up.
- Experience in **leading geographically distributed** teams.

**Skills Required**:

- Deep passion for **release management **and **process improvement**.
- Thorough and proven track record **improving release management** maturity.
- Experience in **release management practices**.
- Strong Business Intelligence technical, analytical and problem solving skills.
- Strong understanding of the overall **business intelligence platform** and **development process.**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term
